Document acceptance for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage will begin earlier than last year.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the information was provided by Vusal Jahangiri, head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB) and director of the Hajj Electronic System.
The CMB official said the initial price of the pilgrimage package for one person had been set at $6,100, the same as last year:
“A slight increase in the price cannot be ruled out. In light of the well-known developments taking place around the world, as well as the reduction by the relevant authorities of the Kingdom in the number of service packages from four to three and the addition of new services, certain price increases are inevitable. As always, the pilgrimage will be organized as a unified package and carried out by air.
Required documents:
1) Ordinary passport, valid for at least one year;
2) Copy of an identity card;
3) Two color photographs, 5 cm × 5 cm, taken against a white background; women should wear dark-colored hijabs;
4) Medical certificate.
Documents will be accepted on working days from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., starting September 24, 2026, at the administrative building of the Caucasus Muslims Board at 7 Mirza Fatali Street in Baku.”
Vusal Jahangiri said that, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, document registration and the visa application process must be completed earlier than last year. “Therefore, we ask citizens intending to perform Hajj to register without delay.”
Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah and is one of the five pillars of Islam. Its timing follows the Islamic lunar calendar, meaning the dates shift each year in the Gregorian calendar. Pilgrimage arrangements typically include transportation, accommodation, visa processing and other services coordinated with the relevant authorities.
