Viktor Gyökeres, who plays for London club Arsenal, has said he is unhappy with his current situation at the team.
The 28-year-old striker has started only two matches this season. His playing time in the English Premier League has been limited to two substitute appearances. Gyökeres has yet to score.
Gyökeres wants to play more
“Operative Information Center-OMM”, citing Arsenal News Channel, reports that the footballer said he wants to spend more time on the pitch.
“Of course, it is disappointing not to play more for Arsenal. Regardless of which team you are at, it is always frustrating. You want to get on the pitch, contribute and score goals. Sometimes it is really upsetting, but whenever I get the chance, I try to give everything I have. I am focusing on the things that are within my control,” Gyökeres said.
His move to Arsenal
Viktor Gyökeres joined Arsenal from Lisbon club Sporting in the summer of 2025. The London side paid approximately 67 million euros for the transfer.
Gyökeres previously established himself as a prolific striker at Sporting, while his move to Arsenal marked a major step in his career and increased competition for places in the club’s attack.
