I would like to thank the fans of both teams. They provided excellent support to the players. The presence of such fans significantly impacts the quality of football on the pitch.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these words were spoken by Garabagh head coach Gurban Gurbanov while discussing the 2-2 draw against Sabah in the first leg of the Azerbaijan Cup semi-finals.
The head coach emphasized that both teams fought worthily on the field: "Even if we lose, I want the fans to enjoy our matches. As for Sabah, they managed to stay in the game until the end. Perhaps they appeared more motivated than us. The players also understand each other well on the pitch." Additionally, the head coach stated that they had not received any offer from Sabah for player Oleksiy Kashuk.
The Azerbaijan Cup is the premier knockout competition in Azerbaijani football, organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA). Garabagh, representing the city of Aghdam, remains one of the most successful clubs in the country's history, consistently competing at the highest levels of both domestic and European competitions. This semi-final clash highlights the growing competitiveness within the Azerbaijan Premier League and the national cup tournament.
