German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has characterized both Azerbaijan and Germany as islands of stability against the backdrop of ongoing global and regional developments.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the German leader made these remarks during an expanded meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Germany. President Steinmeier emphasized the growing importance of bilateral ties and the strategic significance of Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus.
During the discussions, President Steinmeier also extended his congratulations regarding the progress achieved in the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agenda. Azerbaijan, which has consistently advocated for regional peace and stability, continues to play a pivotal role in energy security and connectivity projects linking the Caspian region with Europe, further solidifying its status as a reliable partner on the international stage.
