According to the latest statistics released by the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of casualties continues to rise as a result of Israeli military operations in the region, which have been ongoing since October 7, 2023.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that over the past 24 hours, nine bodies and 36 injured individuals have been transported to Gaza hospitals. Of the deceased, six were victims of recent attacks, two succumbed to previous injuries, and one body was recovered from under the rubble.
The Ministry stated that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, the death toll from Israeli strikes has reached 1,296, with 4,296 people injured. During this period, 814 bodies have been recovered from under the debris.
Since October 7, 2023, the total number of casualties in the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,431 dead and 174,437 injured. The Ministry notes that many victims remain trapped under rubble or on roads, with rescue teams unable to reach them due to the ongoing security situation and infrastructure destruction.
The conflict in Gaza, which escalated significantly in late 2023, has led to a severe humanitarian crisis in the enclave. International organizations have repeatedly called for a sustainable ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid access, citing the widespread destruction of residential areas and critical infrastructure, including hospitals and schools, which has left the local population facing critical shortages of food, water, and medical supplies.
