The funeral ceremony for the late Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, has commenced in his hometown of Mashhad.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cites reports from the IRNA news agency, the burial marks the culmination of extensive mourning events held since July 4. These commemorations took place across various Iranian cities, including Tehran and Qom, as well as in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq.
Official reports indicate that the mourning events drew significant international attention, with political figures from over 45 countries and more than 90 nations represented by scholars, religious leaders, and researchers in attendance.
