Four more teenagers have been identified for creating a safety hazard by throwing stones at a high-speed train operating on the Baku-Sumgait route, according to official reports.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) informed Operative Information Center-OMM that the Railway Transport Police Department took immediate action following complaints regarding damage to the train's windows while in motion. As a result of the investigation, the minors suspected of committing the act were identified and summoned to the police station along with their parents.
Law enforcement officers conducted preventive discussions with the teenagers, emphasizing the severe consequences such actions could have on public safety. It was noted that throwing stones at a moving train poses a serious threat to the lives of both passengers and the train crew. Furthermore, such incidents lead to delays in the schedule, preventing citizens from reaching their destinations on time.
The Baku-Sumgait railway line is a vital transport artery in Azerbaijan, significantly upgraded in recent years to provide modern, high-speed suburban transit between the capital and the country's second-largest industrial city.
