More than 16,000 foreign tourists have arrived for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, marking a record turnout for the 10th Formula 1 race held in Baku.
The information was provided to the “Operative Information Center-OMM” by the Baku City Circuit Operations Company.
This is the highest figure recorded since Formula 1 races began taking place in Baku. The number of foreign visitors last year stood at 14,000.
Growing international interest in the race is also reflected in ticket sales. Tickets for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix have been purchased by fans from more than 120 countries.
The figure demonstrates the further expansion of the race’s international reach.
It should be noted that the race, which began today, will conclude on September 26.
