The OSCE region is currently facing a period of instability, according to Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Foreign Minister made these remarks during a briefing in Baku held alongside Ignazio Cassis, the Federal Councilor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, who serves as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
According to the Minister, active cooperation between the OSCE and its member states is essential to navigate these challenges. "As the state of Azerbaijan, we express our commitment to all these principles," Jeyhun Bayramov stated.
The Foreign Minister further noted that the priorities of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship are comprehensive. "Energy and digital security are among these priorities. We believe that all of these are important for improving the well-being of people, and we express our support for this," the Foreign Minister emphasized.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) remains the world's largest regional security organization, with 57 participating states from Europe, Central Asia, and North America. It plays a critical role in conflict prevention, crisis management, and post-conflict rehabilitation. Azerbaijan has been a member of the OSCE since 1992, actively engaging with the organization on matters of regional security, border management, and economic development, while consistently advocating for the respect of territorial integrity and sovereignty in accordance with international law.
