Fog has been observed in Shamkir, Khizi, Shahdag, Sabirabad and Lerik.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the information was included in a report issued by the National Hydrometeorological Service as of 9 a.m. on Sept. 17.
Visibility was reported to have decreased to 500 meters.
Weather conditions were mainly dry in most districts. However, short-term showers accompanied by thunderstorms were recorded in some mountainous and foothill areas during the evening and night.
Rainfall totals reached 15 millimeters in Balakan, 12 millimeters in Saribash, Gakh district, 8 millimeters in Zagatala, 3 millimeters in Guba and Gusar, and up to 1 millimeter in Naftalan and Ismayilli.
Fog can significantly reduce visibility, particularly in mountainous and foothill areas, requiring drivers to exercise additional caution and adjust their speed to road conditions.
