Five more Azerbaijani boxers have advanced to the quarter-finals at the U-17 European Championships in Budva, Montenegro.

Hasrat Mammadov (46 kg) defeated Russia’s Jamal Dustiyev 5-0 (30:27, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 30:27). He will face Slovakia’s Kristian Mezes in the quarter-finals.
Qardash Rahimov (54 kg) beat Ireland’s Sean Kelly 3-2 (28:29, 28:29, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). His next opponent will be Belarus’ Nikita Beskaravayni.
Ali Abasli (60 kg) defeated Türkiye’s Zeki Ugur 5-0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28). Abasli will face Moldova’s Alexandru-Ahile Buhaniuc in the quarter-finals.
Yusif Hasanli (66 kg) beat Croatia’s Lukas Fulanovic 5-0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27). He will meet Italy’s Raul Barone in his next bout.
Hidayat Mammadov (70 kg) secured a 5-0 victory over Switzerland’s Joel Schutz (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). His quarter-final opponent will be Russia’s Sandro Tsimtsba.

Azerbaijan’s boxers will compete in the quarter-finals on Oct. 8. Six other members of the team had qualified for this stage earlier, while three boxers are due to compete in the round of 16.
