A fishing boat was hit in a drone attack near Sirik port in Iran’s southern Hormozgan province.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that foreign media outlets have carried the news.
Three fishermen were injured in the incident.
The injured fishermen were taken to Sirik Hospital for medical treatment.
Ahmad Nafisi, the deputy governor for political and social affairs, said a US drone had struck the fishing boat.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
Sirik is a port town in Hormozgan province on the Gulf of Oman. The province lies along Iran’s southern coast and is home to several fishing communities.
