First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Altyn-Balalyk health and rehabilitation center in the city of Cholpon-Ata today, accompanied by the First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aigul Japarova, and the First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziroatxon Mirziyoyeva.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Altyn-Balalyk health and rehabilitation center has been operational since May 2022. The facility is dedicated to providing high-quality medical rehabilitation services and recreational opportunities for children.
The center features 136 rooms with a total capacity of 800 beds. During the summer season, the facility hosts between 8,000 and 8,500 children from across Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries. From September through June, the center shifts its focus to providing specialized rehabilitation services for children with disabilities.
The visit underscores the ongoing cooperation and friendly relations between Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, particularly in the social and humanitarian spheres. Such high-level engagements often highlight shared commitments to child welfare and public health initiatives across the Turkic-speaking nations.
