European Council President Antonio Costa has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of the Civil Contract Party in the recent parliamentary elections.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the European Council President announced the congratulatory message via his official account on the X social media platform.
In his statement, Costa remarked that the Armenian people have voted for a future grounded in peace, stability, and stronger cooperation with neighboring countries. "I congratulate Nikol Pashinyan on the results achieved. You can be proud of your role in strengthening Armenia's resilience, stability, and prosperity," he noted.
The European Council President further emphasized that the partnership between Armenia and the European Union is undergoing a period of significant expansion. According to Costa, both sides are actively developing new opportunities in key sectors, including energy, trade, and digitalization. He expressed confidence that this deepening cooperation contributes to a more peaceful and prosperous future for the region.
