Ərdoğan: Türk dünyası təhlükəsizlikdə daha aktiv olmalıdır

The Turkic world can play a more effective role in ensuring regional stability and security, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the President made these remarks during a press briefing with journalists upon his return from Kazakhstan.

“As you know, we have always been an administration that values relations with the Turkic world. We take pride in crowning this through the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). This organization, which we view as our 'Family Council,' encompasses all types of cooperation within its structure, and we strive to evaluate every opportunity. We believe in our collective development. On all platforms, we emphasize that the Turkic world can play a more effective role in the stability and security of our region,” the Turkish President said. He further highlighted that the Turkic world possesses high potential from economic, cultural, and strategic perspectives, noting that active steps are being taken to utilize this potential in diplomacy, energy, trade, transport, security, and defense.

The Organization of Turkic States has increasingly become a pivotal platform for regional integration, particularly following its rebranding from the Turkic Council in 2021. With Azerbaijan and Turkey serving as the primary anchors for the organization's western wing, the OTS focuses on enhancing the Middle Corridor—a strategic trade route connecting Asia and Europe. President Erdogan added that Turkey will host the upcoming OTS Summit this year, during which Ankara intends to exert significant effort to further strengthen the organization's institutional capacity and regional influence.
