Dynamo Makhachkala, competing in the Russian Premier League, has strengthened its squad with a new signing.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the club's press service announced that a three-year contract has been signed with Colombian defender Andres Alarcon.
The 25-year-old defender is already familiar with the team, having played for the Makhachkala-based club on loan during the previous season. During that campaign, Alarcon made 14 appearances in the Russian championship, receiving one yellow card.
Dynamo Makhachkala concluded the 2025/2026 season in 14th place with 26 points. The club successfully maintained its position in the top tier of Russian football after defeating Yekaterinburg's Ural club in the relegation play-off round. The Russian Premier League, founded in 2001, serves as the top division of the Russian football league system and remains a significant platform for clubs from the North Caucasus region to compete at the national level.
