Dusty conditions are affecting Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources issued the warning.
According to data from automatic monitoring stations, the amount of dust in the air is currently 2.2 times above the norm.
The Environmental Pollution Monitoring Group said the dust is transboundary in nature and has entered Azerbaijan with southeasterly air currents due to meteorological conditions.
Dusty conditions are expected to continue for two days, depending on the weather.
