Russian forces struck Ukraine’s Izmail port and two dry-cargo ships allegedly carrying military supplies to Odesa overnight, Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Thursday.
The ministry said the overnight drone attacks targeted Ukrainian port facilities and vessels used by Ukraine’s armed forces.
It said the strike in the Odesa region hit facilities at Izmail used to unload and store military and dual-use cargo intended to supply Ukrainian forces.
The ministry gave no further details about the ships’ identities, the extent of damage or whether there were casualties.
