Entrance examinations for doctoral and dissertation programs, specifically focusing on foreign language proficiency and philosophy, were held today in Azerbaijan.
The Operative Information Center-OMM received confirmation of the event from the State Examination Center (SEC). The examinations were organized in the capital city of Baku and in Nakhchivan.
According to the SEC, participants were evaluated on their foreign language proficiency through a comprehensive series of tasks, including reading comprehension, listening comprehension, language usage (lexical-grammatical exercises), and a writing block consisting of essay composition. The results of the examinations are expected to be announced within four weeks, following the completion of the assessment process for the speaking and writing sections.
It should be noted that the minimum passing score required to qualify for the philosophy doctoral program in a foreign language is 30 points, with a specific restriction of 2 points per individual block. These examinations are a critical component of the academic progression system in Azerbaijan, ensuring that candidates possess the necessary linguistic and analytical skills to conduct advanced research at the doctoral level.
