Paris Saint-Germain defender Aleksander Ciku has spoken about the difficulty of defending against Ousmane Dembélé. He said the forward is equally effective with both feet, making him less predictable.
“Ousmane can move immediately to either the left or the right. It is difficult for defenders to play against him. In matches like these, the goalkeeper needs to perform at a high level. Dembélé has a big impact on this team,” Ciku said on Okko.
Ciku also discussed PSG's performance in the first 30 minutes of their match against Manchester City. He said the Paris club had dominated its opponents during that spell. The defender noted that the current PSG team's main strength is its collective play: “They are incredibly strong as a unit.”
PSG beat Manchester City 4-2 away in the second round of the Champions League league phase. Désiré Doué scored in the 13th minute, Dembélé in the 15th, Vitinha in the 32nd and Bradley Barcola in the 63rd. Erling Haaland scored Manchester City's goals in the 53rd and 75th minutes.
