A criminal investigation has been launched following the discovery of two bodies in a forest area in the Lankaran district of Azerbaijan.
The Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the incident to the Operative Information Center-OMM, stating that local authorities received a report on August 11 regarding the discovery of two deceased individuals in a wooded area near Haftoni village.
Preliminary investigations have identified the deceased as Khazar Vurgun oglu Mirzayev, born in 1997, and Fidan Shahid gizi Mammadova, born in 2010.
The Lankaran District Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case under Article 125 (incitement to suicide) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A preliminary investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Authorities have ordered forensic examinations and are conducting necessary investigative and operational measures in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs to clarify the details of the incident.
