Residents of several residential areas in Baku and its surrounding settlements have been temporarily relocated to hotels following heavy and continuous rainfall that created hazardous living conditions. The evacuation measures were implemented to ensure the safety of citizens in areas most affected by the inclement weather.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Baku City Executive Power's press service released a statement regarding the ongoing situation. According to the official report, municipal services are continuing efforts to eliminate the consequences of the heavy downpours across various Baku settlements. While floodwaters have already been cleared from many locations, drainage operations remain active in several high-risk zones.

Following appeals from local residents to district executive authorities, evacuation operations were specifically carried out in the Sabunchu, Khazar, and Binagadi districts of the capital. Specialized machinery and technical equipment have been deployed to these areas to accelerate the water extraction process and restore normal infrastructure functionality. In Azerbaijan, such emergency response measures are coordinated between local executive powers and relevant state agencies to mitigate the impact of seasonal natural phenomena on urban infrastructure and public safety.
