Baku Metro CJSC is reducing intervals between trains following technical optimization measures, monitoring and testing.

Operative Information Center-OMM reported this, citing the company.

According to the information, from September 15, trains on the Red Line will operate at two-minute intervals during peak hours on the Icherisheher–Ahmadli route.

On the Green Line, intervals will be reduced from three minutes and 30 seconds to three minutes when necessary.

With the transition to the autumn-winter schedule on the Purple Line, five-minute intervals will apply on the Avtovagzal–8 Noyabr section, while trains will run every 10 minutes on the Khojasan–Avtovagzal section.

Passenger flows on all lines will be monitored during the new academic year, and further adjustments will be made if necessary.

Baku Metro is the main public transport system in Azerbaijan’s capital, serving large passenger flows across the city. Schedule adjustments are typically introduced during periods of increased demand, including the start of the academic year.
