The 3rd Forum titled "Public processes in the media plane" has commenced in Baku, organized by the Media Development Agency (MEDIA). The event brings together government officials, media experts, and journalists to discuss the evolving role of information platforms in modern society and the impact of the press on public discourse.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the opening ceremony featured key speakers including Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of MEDIA; Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education; Read Gasimov, Head of the Baku City Main Department of Architecture and Urban Planning under the State Committee for City Planning and Architecture; and Samaddin Asadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport. The forum will proceed with panel sessions covering topics such as the media agenda during the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture," combating harmful information in the digital environment, and the integration of artificial intelligence and innovation in media.
The forum serves as a critical platform for Azerbaijan to align its media landscape with international standards while addressing the challenges of the digital age.
