The company said no final decisions have been made on the project’s possible route, technical specifications, implementation timeline, financing or other details.
“As no final decisions have been made on the project’s possible route, technical specifications, implementation timeline, financing or other details, it is not possible to provide precise information at this stage. President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on October 2 granting new powers to Baku Metro. The closed joint-stock company will provide passenger services via cable cars and work to improve their quality and safety. It will also ensure the introduction of innovative and digital solutions for organizing the services and paying fares, as well as their design and construction, the strengthening and modernization of the material and technical base, the integration of services, and their management and coordination from a single center.
