A number of bus routes will operate under revised traffic schemes in connection with the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, told the “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
According to the information, regular and express buses will operate along alternative streets.
Thus, from 9 p.m. on September 19 until midnight on September 21, the routes of 13 bus services will be changed:
Routes 1, 2, 4, 10, 20, 32, 46, 88A, 120, 120E and H1 will run along Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safaraliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue, before continuing along their regular routes;
Route 125 will operate via Neftchilar Avenue and Rashid Behbudov and Dilara Aliyeva streets;
Route M9, toward the “Hazi Aslanov” metro station, will run along Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safaraliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue before continuing along its regular route.
From September 21 to 26, the routes of 26 bus services will be changed:
Routes 1, 2, 4, 20, 46, 88A, 120, 120E and H1 will operate along Kovkab Safaraliyeva Street and Neftchilar Avenue;
Routes 20, 88A and 120E, toward the city center, will run along Afiyaddin Jalilov, Yusif Safarov and 28 May streets;
Route M9, toward the “Academy of Sciences” metro station, will operate via Yusif Safarov, 28 May and Rashid Behbudov streets. In the opposite direction, buses will run along Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safaraliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue before continuing along their regular route;
Route 5 will operate in two directions. The first will cover the “Nariman Narimanov” metro station–Suleyman Rahimov Street route, while the second will cover Salyan Highway–Bibiheybat Mosque–Baku Funicular (Bahram Gur monument);
Route 6 will operate in two directions. The first will cover the “Azadlig Avenue” metro station–Akhundov Garden route, while the second will cover the 20th Area–Bahram Gur monument route;
Route 61, toward the Central Bank, will run along Samad Vurgun, Shamsi Badalbeyli and Rashid Behbudov streets, with the latter serving as the final stop;
Route 65, toward the “Icherisheher” metro station, will operate via Murtuza Mukhtarov and Ahmad Javad streets and Azerbaijan Avenue, which will serve as the final stop;
Route 88, toward the “28 May” metro station, will operate via Azadlig Avenue and Fuzuli Street, which will serve as the final stop;
Routes 10, 18, 31, 37, 53, 77 and 205, toward the “Icherisheher” metro station, will run along Sheikh Shamil, Lermontov and Bunyad Sardarov streets, with the latter serving as the final stop;
Route 125, toward the “28 May” metro station, will operate via Lokbatan Circle–Silk Way (Circular Road)–Mikayil Mushfig Street–Badamdar Circle–Mikayil Mushfig Street–Abdulla Shaig Street–Mirzaaga Aliyev Street–Shamsi Badalbeyli Street–Azadlig Avenue–Dilara Aliyeva Street–Pushkin Street, which will serve as the final stop;
Routes 149 and 149E will operate from Sahil settlement to the “Bina” shopping center (“Lokbatan” NMM);
Route 195E will operate from Alat settlement to the “Bina” shopping center (“Lokbatan” NMM).
Routes 72 and E1 will be temporarily suspended.
The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is held on a temporary street circuit in Baku. The event requires traffic-management measures and temporary changes to public transport routes to ensure the movement of residents, visitors and race-related traffic.
