The average price of oil exported by Azerbaijan stood at $94.5 per barrel in the first half of this year, while the price of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas reached $313.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that Samir Nasirov, director of the Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, made the announcement at a press conference held by the institution.
According to him, the figures were 33% and 4% higher, respectively, than in the same period last year.
Oil and natural gas remain key components of Azerbaijan’s export revenues. Changes in global energy prices directly affect the country’s trade balance and foreign exchange earnings.
