Entering the sea during windy weather poses significant safety risks, according to a recent advisory issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry has released a formal appeal to citizens planning to visit beaches, emphasizing the dangers associated with current weather conditions. The advisory highlights that strong winds are expected throughout the day in Baku and across the Absheron Peninsula.

"We reiterate that swimming in the sea during windy weather is dangerous and urge the public to strictly adhere to all relevant safety regulations," the Ministry stated in its official appeal.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently issues such warnings to prevent drowning incidents and water-related accidents. In Azerbaijan, the summer season attracts thousands of residents and tourists to the coastline of the Caspian Sea. The Ministry maintains a constant presence at public beaches through its State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction and the State Water Rescue Service, which monitor water conditions and enforce safety protocols to protect the public during adverse weather events.
