Azerbaijan’s MFA reports mine blast injuries in Jabrayil

“A father and son were seriously injured in a mine explosion in the Jabrayil district today, bringing the number of people killed or injured by mines in Azerbaijan since the end of the 2020 war to 443.”

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the statement was published on the social media account of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.

“This horrific incident once again demonstrates the deadly and indiscriminate threat posed by mines, which continue to take innocent lives and cause serious injuries,” the statement said.

Azerbaijan strongly condemns the ongoing threat posed by mines and calls for greater international attention to efforts to combat the mine threat in the country.
