Honored artist and announcer Sevda Saleh Mammadzade, who worked for many years at Azerbaijan Radio, has died at the age of 95.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that her daughter announced the death on social media.
Sevda Saleh Mammadzade was admitted to intensive care in a coma on Sept. 1. Doctors diagnosed her with an acute ischemic disorder of cerebral blood circulation affecting both hemispheres, ischemic heart disease and atrial fibrillation.
Mammadzade was known for her long career in Azerbaijani broadcasting. Radio announcers have played a significant role in delivering news, cultural programming and public information to audiences across Azerbaijan.
