A group of Milli Majlis (National Assembly) deputies will travel to Russia on Sept. 18 to observe the elections to the State Duma, Russia’s lower house of parliament.
The Milli Majlis Press and Public Relations Department told "Operative Information Center-OMM".
It said Milli Majlis committee chairman Azer Amiraslanov and deputies Fatma Yildirim, Anar Mammadov and Eyvaz Gurbanov will monitor the electoral process in Moscow, while Sabir Hajiyev will observe it in St. Petersburg.
The deputies will review conditions at polling stations and observe voting and the counting of ballots. International observers commonly assess electoral procedures, polling conditions and vote-counting processes during such missions.
