The electronic registration process for admission to preschool educational institutions in Azerbaijan will be temporarily suspended starting May 19. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the State Agency for Preschool and General Education (MÜTDA) has announced that the creation of new queues through the official portal will be paused.
The agency stated that from the specified date, the process of creating new applications via the bq.edu.az portal will be halted. Furthermore, any pending requests currently in the system that have not been confirmed during this period will be deleted. Detailed information regarding the admission procedures for the upcoming academic year is expected to be provided to the public in the near future.
In recent years, the Republic of Azerbaijan has transitioned to a centralized electronic system for kindergarten admissions to ensure transparency and eliminate bureaucratic hurdles. This digitalization effort, managed under the Ministry of Science and Education, aims to streamline the placement of children in state-run preschools across the country. The temporary suspension is a standard procedure often associated with technical updates or preparations for the new enrollment cycle, reflecting the government's ongoing commitment to modernizing the national education infrastructure.
