The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has extended its official condolences to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan following a tragic coal mine collapse.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry shared an official statement regarding the incident on its social media account on "X".
"We are deeply saddened by the news of the loss of life and injuries resulting from the deadly coal mine accident in Pakistan's Balochistan province," the statement read.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the brotherly people and government of Pakistan. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured and hope for the safe rescue of all those affected by the incident," the Ministry added.
It should be noted that a coal mine collapsed in the Balochistan province, located in the southwestern part of Pakistan. Mining accidents are a recurring challenge in the region, often highlighting the critical need for enhanced safety protocols and infrastructure modernization in the local extractive industries. Azerbaijan and Pakistan maintain strong diplomatic ties, frequently supporting each other during times of national crisis and mourning.
