The forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan continued round-the-clock security operations last night in areas flooded due to intensive rainfall across the country. Emergency response teams were deployed to mitigate the impact of the heavy downpours and ensure the safety of residents in the affected zones.
According to information provided by the Ministry to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a total of 216 people were successfully evacuated to safe locations as a result of the measures taken. "Among those evacuated, 36 are minors," the official statement noted, highlighting the priority given to vulnerable citizens during the rescue efforts.
Heavy seasonal rains in Azerbaijan often necessitate rapid response from the Ministry of Emergency Situations to prevent infrastructure damage and protect the population. The Ministry remains on high alert, utilizing specialized equipment and personnel to drain water from flooded residential areas and monitor water levels in local river systems to prevent further incidents.
