A shipment of 2,475 tons of diesel fuel was dispatched today from the Guzdak station of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, destined for Armenia. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the cargo, consisting of 42 railcars, is currently en route toward the Boyuk Kasik station.

The shipment will transit through Georgian territory before reaching its final destination in Armenia. This latest delivery adds to the ongoing fuel trade between the two nations, which has seen significant volumes of energy resources supplied by Azerbaijan.

To date, Azerbaijan has exported over 10,000 tons of diesel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline to Armenia. Fuel exports to the country commenced on December 18, 2025, with an initial delivery of 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline.

These logistical operations follow a strategic decision made by President Ilham Aliyev in October 2025, which lifted long-standing restrictions on the transit of goods from Azerbaijan to Armenia. This policy shift, implemented in the post-conflict period, aims to facilitate regional connectivity and economic normalization in the South Caucasus.
