When Azerbaijan’s trade representative abroad and their staff are located outside an embassy or consulate, a flag, coat of arms and sign will be displayed at their building or premises.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed amendments to the regulation on Azerbaijan’s trade representative and staff in foreign countries.
Under the decision, when the representative and staff are based outside an embassy or consulate, Azerbaijan’s State Flag will be raised at the building or premises in accordance with international agreements to which Azerbaijan and the host state are parties, as well as applicable regulations.
A raised-relief image of Azerbaijan’s State Emblem will also be displayed, together with a sign bearing the words “Trade Representative of Azerbaijan” in the state language of Azerbaijan and the official language or languages of the host country. The sign will specify the name of the embassy or consulate to which the representative is assigned, or, where the country has no Azerbaijani embassy or consulate, the name of the host country.
