A graduation ceremony was held at an "N" military unit for servicemen who successfully completed the "Chevikchi" (Agile) special training course for the special forces of the State Border Service (SBS). During the event, the personnel were presented with honorary berets, symbolizing their professional achievement and readiness for service.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed of the ceremony by the SBS press center. SBS Chief, Colonel-General Elçin Quliyev, addressed the graduates, stating that purposeful reforms in army building carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev have elevated the country's defense capabilities to a new level. He emphasized that as part of this strategy, the material and technical base of the SBS has been strengthened to meet the most modern requirements.
The ceremony highlighted that the personnel are being formed as a patriotic and highly disciplined force capable of meeting contemporary security challenges. The berets presented to those who finished the "Chevikchi" course, organized by the Rapid Response Forces, serve as a primary symbol of their professionalism, combat readiness, and loyalty to the motherland. Upon receiving their berets, the servicemen took an oath to remain faithful to the ideas of statehood and to be ready at any moment for the defense of Azerbaijan.
The State Border Service of Azerbaijan plays a critical role in ensuring the territorial integrity and security of the nation's borders. Following the liberation of territories in the Garabagh region, the SBS has significantly expanded its presence and infrastructure in the liberated districts, including Zangilan, Lachin, and Kalbajar. These specialized training courses are part of a broader initiative to enhance the operational readiness of border units in challenging terrains and to integrate advanced surveillance and defense technologies into daily border protection duties.
