Azerbaijan announces April 19 school leaving exam results

The State Examination Center (SEC) of Azerbaijan has announced the results of the school leaving examinations held on April 19 for 9th-grade students.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the SEC, a total of 37,593 students were scheduled to participate in the exams. Of these, 2,205 candidates did not attend, while 14 individuals were disqualified for violating the established examination regulations. The highest possible score of 300 points was achieved by Aykhan Babazade, a graduate of the Ashaghi Aylis village secondary school in the Ordubad district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

To ensure the protection of student rights and address inquiries regarding the results, an Appeals Commission will be established at the SEC. Candidates wishing to appeal their scores may register by filling out an electronic application on the official SEC website. The registration period for appeals will remain open from 10:00 AM on May 18 until 5:00 PM on May 20.

The State Examination Center is the primary body responsible for conducting centralized entrance and final examinations in Azerbaijan. These assessments are designed to evaluate the academic proficiency of students across the country and serve as a standardized benchmark for educational advancement. The results of these examinations play a crucial role in the transition of students to the next level of the national education system, ensuring a merit-based and transparent evaluation process.
