A delegation from the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has visited Azerbaijan to attend the sixth Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition, “ADEX-2026,” and the High-Level Observer Day of the joint military exercise “Power of Unity-2026.”
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Ministry of Defense, that the visit included meetings held on the sidelines of the international exhibition.
During the meetings, First Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with Lieutenant General Reza Sheikhhasani, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for operations.
The sides discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in the military, military-technical, military education and medical fields. They also exchanged detailed views on issues of mutual interest.
ADEX is an international defense exhibition hosted in Baku that brings together defense industry companies, military delegations and security officials from various countries. Such events provide a platform for presenting defense technologies and strengthening professional contacts.
