Argentina played a friendly against Burkina Faso in Buenos Aires on October 4. The match at Monumental Stadium ended in a 7-0 win for Argentina.
Argentina scored five goals in the first half. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring in the fourth minute, followed by Gianluca Prestianni in the 12th and Nicolas Paz in the 35th. Julian Alvarez added another in the 36th minute. An eighth-minute own goal by Burkina Faso defender Moumouni Diallo had made it 2-0.
Franco Mastantuono scored in the 57th minute, while Giuliano Simeone added the seventh goal in the third minute of stoppage time. The match was refereed by Chilean official Jose Cabrero.
Argentina will play its next friendly at home against Benin on October 7. The match is scheduled to kick off at 03:00 Baku time. Burkina Faso will not play again until November.
