Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the Pentagon of providing false information regarding the financial costs of United States military operations in the Middle East, specifically those related to Israel and actions against Iran.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Araghchi claimed the actual expenditure has reached approximately $100 billion, significantly higher than official US figures.

"The Pentagon is lying. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's adventure has already cost America $100 billion, which is four times the reported amount. The indirect costs for American taxpayers are even higher. The monthly cost for every US family is $500 and is rising rapidly," the Foreign Minister noted. These remarks follow a statement made on April 29 by Jules Hurst, an official representing the US authorities, who estimated the cost of operations related to Iran at approximately $25 billion.

The exchange of rhetoric comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing debates within the United States regarding foreign military aid. While the US administration, under President Donald Trump, continues to emphasize its strategic partnership with Israel, Iranian officials frequently criticize the scale of American financial and military involvement in the region. The discrepancy between Tehran's claims and Washington's official reports highlights the ongoing information warfare and diplomatic friction between the two nations over regional security and fiscal responsibility.
