In our countries — the countries of the Turkic States Organisation (TSO) — national principles and the principles of national self-awareness are sometimes more important than other principles that some seek to impose on us from outside.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks while receiving security chiefs from TSO member countries.
The head of state also said: “It is also very important to educate the younger generation in our countries in the spirit of patriotism and loyalty to national principles and our moral values. In this context, of course, this is a broad area in which the TSO should work actively, including through measures related to youth policy.”
The Turkic States Organisation brings together Turkic-speaking countries to promote cooperation in areas including security, politics, the economy, culture and youth policy.
