Aliyev: Demand for Azerbaijan’s oil and gas products will rise

Countries are asking Azerbaijan to export its oil products to them.

President Ilham Aliyev said this while addressing a congress of the New Azerbaijan Party, according to the Operative Information Center-OMM.

The head of state stressed that Azerbaijan had completed all the necessary work on time:

“Our current capacity — and I am referring only to oil products — is 30 million tonnes. Of this, 7 million tonnes are processed at an oil refinery in Azerbaijan, while 23 million tonnes are processed abroad. We did this in good time. We built one refinery from scratch and acquired two others. There are not many countries that have 30 million tonnes of oil products, and in three locations rather than just one. Given that, as I have said, the wars around us are unfortunately continuing — we would very much like them to stop, but they are not stopping — demand for our products and gas will grow further.”
