The Disciplinary Committee of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has announced its decisions regarding matches played during the 19th round of the Misli Premier League, imposing significant financial sanctions on several clubs for various violations.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the most substantial fine was issued to Araz-Nakhchivan. The club was penalized 3,000 AZN for delaying the start of their February 8 match against Sabah by arriving late to the pitch. Additionally, Araz-Nakhchivan was fined 700 AZN after four of its players received yellow cards, while the host club, Sabah, was ordered to pay 1,000 AZN for violating competition regulations. Other sanctions included a 1,500 AZN fine for Zira due to kit violations during their match against Sumgait, and a 700 AZN fine for Garabagh following player misconduct in their game against Shamakhi. Garabagh will also be held financially responsible for the repair of 25 stadium seats damaged by supporters.
In the match between Neftchi and Gabala, defender Elvin Badalov was handed a one-match suspension after being sent off in the 90+1 minute for a second yellow card, resulting in a 500 AZN fine for the Baku-based club. These disciplinary measures are part of AFFA's ongoing efforts to maintain professional standards and sportsmanship within Azerbaijan's top-flight football league. The Misli Premier League remains the premier professional football competition in Azerbaijan, with the Disciplinary Committee serving as the primary body for enforcing the league's ethical and technical code of conduct.
