Significant work was carried out last year to strengthen human resource potential in the field of culture, with numerous decisions made and various measures implemented to further bolster the sector. Minister of Culture Adil Karimli made these remarks during a board meeting on February 11 dedicated to the ministry's activities for 2025.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Minister emphasized the strategic importance of the newly adopted "Azerbaijan Culture - 2040" Concept. According to Karimli, this document will define the direction of future reforms, serve as a comprehensive roadmap, and provide the necessary justification for upcoming initiatives in the cultural sphere.
The Minister noted that the "Azerbaijan Culture - 2040" Concept is a vital document. The concept will determine the direction of reforms to be implemented in the coming period, form a roadmap, and substantiate the necessity of the work to be done.
Karimli further noted that the concept of culture carries various meanings and that forming a correct public perception of this field is of particular importance for the nation's development. In recent years, Azerbaijan has significantly increased its focus on cultural diplomacy and the restoration of heritage sites, particularly in the liberated territories of Garabagh and East Zangazur. The "Azerbaijan Culture - 2040" strategy is expected to integrate these regional priorities into a long-term national framework, ensuring the preservation of Azerbaijani identity while modernizing cultural infrastructure in Baku and throughout the Republic.
