The National Hydrometeorology Service has released the updated weather forecast for beaches across the Absheron Peninsula, providing details on expected sea temperatures and wind conditions.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, moderate south-eastern winds are expected on July 26. Sea water temperatures are forecast to reach 28-29 degrees Celsius at northern beaches, including Sumgait, Novkhani, Pirshagi, Nardaran, Bilgah, and Zagulba. Meanwhile, southern coastal areas, such as Turkan, Hovsan, Sahil, and Shikh, will experience slightly warmer waters, ranging between 29 and 30 degrees Celsius.
The Absheron Peninsula, which encompasses the capital city of Baku and the industrial hub of Sumgait, is a primary destination for summer recreation in Azerbaijan. The National Hydrometeorology Service regularly monitors these coastal waters during the summer season to provide safety updates and climate data for residents and tourists visiting the Caspian Sea coastline.
