A suspected food poisoning incident has been reported in Kurdamir.
“Operative Information Center-OMM”, citing APA, reports that the incident occurred at a banquet hall in the district.
After a wedding held at the venue, 30 people sought medical care at Kurdamir District Central Hospital.
Their condition was assessed as moderately serious.
An investigation is under way.

TƏBİB told “Operative Information Center-OMM” that 91 people were hospitalized at Kurdamir District Central Hospital on September 30 at around 8:50 p.m. on suspicion of food poisoning:
“All of them received the necessary medical care. Those whose condition was assessed as satisfactory were discharged for outpatient treatment at home.”

The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency said it was investigating the poisoning incident reported in Kurdamir:
“The Food Safety Agency is investigating the poisoning incident at a wedding held at the Gunesh banquet hall in Kurdamir.
The Agency is taking appropriate measures to determine the cause of the incident. The public will be provided with further information about the results of the investigation.”

The Prosecutor General’s Office press service said the district prosecutor’s office was investigating the case after 92 people who attended a gathering at a catering establishment in Kurdamir on September 30 sought hospital care on suspicion of food poisoning.
Food samples from the establishment have been collected for relevant examinations to determine the cause of the poisoning, and other necessary procedural measures have been taken.
Those who sought hospital care received the necessary first aid and were discharged home for outpatient monitoring.
