Police officers in Azerbaijan's Neftchala district have seized approximately seven kilograms of marijuana during a successful anti-drug operation. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that 40-year-old Mehman Dadashov was detained on suspicion of illegal drug trafficking.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM. Investigations revealed that Dadashov had acquired the narcotics specifically for the purpose of sale. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and a court order has been issued for his pretrial detention.
Azerbaijan continues to intensify its efforts against the illegal drug trade, particularly focusing on transit routes and local distribution networks. The Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts operations across various regions of the country to combat the spread of narcotics and ensure public safety.
