Turkish security forces have detained 16 suspects in connection with an armed attack at the Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in the Siverek district of Sanliurfa province, according to official reports from the General Directorate of Security.
The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Haber Global, reports that the incident occurred on April 14, 2026. "Within the framework of investigations into the armed attack at the Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Siverek district of Sanliurfa, 16 suspects have been taken into custody. Judicial proceedings against the suspects are currently ongoing," the official statement read. A total of 16 people were injured during the shooting, the majority of whom are students.
