Israeli airstrikes destroyed four Palestinian homes in northern and central Gaza late Saturday and damaged dozens of nearby buildings, witnesses and sources said, according to Anadolu Agency.

An Anadolu correspondent said Israeli warplanes struck three homes in Gaza City and one in Deir al-Balah after residents received evacuation warnings for residential areas.

Residents were notified by phone, prompting panic and forcing dozens of families to flee, witnesses said.

The strikes hit homes in Gaza City’s Shujaiya, Al-17 and Rimal areas, as well as a house belonging to the Al-Buhaysi family in Deir al-Balah, sources said.

All four homes were destroyed, while dozens of surrounding houses and other buildings were damaged, witnesses said. Another Israeli airstrike hit unoccupied agricultural land near Salah al-Din Street, east of Deir al-Balah.

Preliminary information from sources indicated that no one was killed or injured in the strikes.

Medical sources said Israeli drone strikes in Gaza City earlier on Saturday killed five Palestinians and wounded several others.

Since October 2023, Israel’s war in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000, according to Palestinian figures. Those figures also say the war has destroyed 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure.

Gaza’s Health Ministry says Israeli violations of a ceasefire deal have killed more than 1,470 Palestinians and wounded over 5,180.
